PASSING THE BATON
In the last quarter of 2015, our family made the decision that we would be immigrating to New Zealand, in the wake of a very difficult time of break-ins, violent assaults on friends and bigger picture economic disasters. However Eden Kids Trust will keep going! Exciting times for Nhlaka as he begins his journey with Eden Kid’s Trust as trainee director. Our trustees are geared up and 100% behind him with managerial, financial and strategic support and I will be on duty till the last day and afterwards via skype and Eden Kids WhatsApp group. Many others have also offered their continued support. Awesome SA, our umbrella body are still committed to the work we do and so are our network of churches. I remind you that we are all backing a ministry, not a person so my exit should not deter anyone. My gifting is different to Nhlaka’s but the core business is this: attending to the kids every day at the center and in this, Nhlaka is streets ahead of me in gifting!

Jamby Leadership Camp
The 2014 Leadership camp is going to take on a new look! We have designed the leadership lectures around the word JAMBY. Why Jamby? Pastor Joel came up with this God given inspiration to provide a hook to help primary school leaders to recall leadership principles! Taking the 2nd part of the word leadership he has broken up the parts of a boat into Jesus-the captain, Attitude- the sails, Mentor- the keel, Bible- the rudder and You, the whole boat. Young leaders are taught the Jamby song and with the idea of an endurance hike, bible based lectures and good food, the young leaders are very eager.
New Outreach Garden
After teaching the children about how Christian's helped each other in the Acts 2 early church, the kids were encouraged to put the lesson into practice by starting a new garden that would supply veggies to less priviledged people who the kids themselves would identify. There was great excitement and energy on the dig day and thanks goes to our sponsors, Sunshine Seedlings who supplied the cabbage and spinach!
